2007 Foals

Lilac Meadows Lil' Fancee May
"May"

Chestnut with Flaxen Mane/Tail

Born May 2, 2007

For Sale - See Sales Page for More Details

This pretty filly was bred to show. Her sire is my Hall of Fame, National Top Three Pleasure Driving Stallion & National Champion All Stars - Wood's Apache's Chief ("Rhett"). Rhett has put some wonderful action on this little filly. For more information Rhett's awards see the Stallion Page Her dam is a proven show mare in halter and obstacle. In 2006 her Dam also has won a Supreme Champion and multiple Champion and Reserve Champion titles as well as won in both Liberty and Obstacle. May's dam also was awarded Reserve National Champion All-Stars - Amateur Obstacle over. On her dam's side both her grandsire and granddam have impressive show records. See Fancee's page for more details.

I expect May will mature aroung 35 - 36" and her color is undetermined at this time. She appeared to be a red dun when she was born, then mane turned white and her white hoofs darkened (striped) from the top like her sire's hoofs. Silver bays are born with light legs and they darken with age. Since he is a Silver Bay Dun, she still might change colors and become a silver bay or silver bay dun. May also has many white hairs in areas on her back. Her Dam carries the Sabino Overo Gene and this is likely a minimal expression of that gene.

It has been a difficult decision for me to offer May for sale since she is such a nice filly and very correct. I'd really like to see her go to a nice show home where she can and when old enough be trained to drive. She is very friendly and energetic and will be a great driving mare and later will produces wonderful foals.

This pretty filly was bred to drive. Her sire is my Hall of Fame, National Top Three Pleasure Driving Stallion & National Champion All Stars - Wood's Apache's Chief ("Rhett"). Rhett has put some wonderful action on this little filly. For more information Rhett's awards see the Stallion Page Her dam, Squires Classy Lady was shown for the first time as a 13 year old mare. She did very well in driving and obstacle. Winning multiple firsts and seconds in obstacle and country pleasure driving and was reserve stakes champion in country pleasure drivings under at her second show driving. Lady has always had an exceptional temperment and she has passed this attribute on to her filly Rose. See Lady's page for more details.

I expect Rose will mature aroung 35 - 36" and she is a very smutty dark buckskin (after she was shaved in July her whole body is the same color as the hair around her eyes).
